March 2001, Van Nuys, CA: Several bus loads of children will
be touring the Ol’ Blue, USA Safety Center between 9:00 AM and
10:00 AM on Thursday March 22nd with gleams in their eyes and
excitement in their hearts. This is the largest tour group on
record of this size. Not only will the children be involved in
the demonstration of safety around large vehicles (Big Wheels,
Little Kids safety awareness program), but they will have the
opportunity to meet law enforcement agencies and tour the Toy
Convoy Rig.
The Ol’ Blue, USA Press Conference will be held on Thursday afternoon
at 1:00 PM where additional announcement(s) will be made. One
such announcement will be that of a charitable grant donation
to the Big Wheels, Little Kids program by Shell Rotella-T.
SAFETY is the number one concern among drivers today and the
sole purpose behind Ol' Blue, USA, a Non-Profit 501 (c)(3) charitable
organization. Ol' Blue, USA is the only non-profit organization
dedicated to large vehicle safety endorsed by law enforcement
agencies, schools and other key members of the trucking industry.
After our Press Conference, you will have a chance to meet and
talk with many law enforcement officers and agencies, including
those as far away as Texas.
