Ol’ Blue, USA Safety Tour Heads to GATS with A
Safety Minute©
July 17, 2001, Van Nuys, CA: Ol’ Blue®, USA continues
the Safety Tour of 2001 heading to the Great
America Truck Show (GATS) in Dallas Texas,
September 7-9. On the way to GATS, Ol’ Blue,
USA’s founder, RJ Taylor will be a guest on
the Midnight Cowboy Radio Network hosted by
Eric Harley on August 30th from midnight until
4 a.m. Also during the live broadcast with
RJ Taylor, officers from the Texas DPS (L&W)
will answer drivers’ questions from phone
calls at (800) 288-9227 sponsored in part
by Shell Rotella® T. Drivers may also email
their questions prior to the show to

This year, the assistance by law enforcement will be as strong
as ever in the Ol’ Blue, USA “Safety Center©.” Once again, the
Texas DPS (Licensing and Weight Division) will be in attendance
along with the Houston Police Department, and the Dallas Police
Department. The ever popular hourly safety inspections, ask a
question, along with, find a violation on ‘Ol’ Blue’® and get
a hat from our sponsors Shell Rotella T, Michelin Tire, Alcoa
Wheel and Webb Wheel Products will continue in the Ol’ Blue, USA
“Safety Center” located in booth #3042.
Continued efforts to educate the commercial driver will also
be presented as web sites across the internet will begin displaying
“A Safety Minute©” banner of Ol’ Blue, USA. The Safety Minute
segment is aired nightly on the Midnight Cowboy Radio Network
and hosted by David “Cabover” Kolman and sponsored in part by
Shell Rotella® T.
David is no stranger to the trucking industry as a part-time
driver; David is also an award winning trucking journalist and
frequent industry speaker. Drivers, in hopes to continue to increase
the safety within the industry suggest “A Safety Minute” tips
