Ol Blue, USA returns to Vegas
June 2006 Once again,
you'll be fortunate enough
to view the commercial
safety masters at work,
in the Ol' Blue, USA Safety
Center, at The Truck
Show Las Vegas, June
15 17, booth #2534.
With them again this year
will be the Nevada Highway
Patrol (NHP) and Special
Guest, Staff
Sgt. Jim Brokaw from the Nebraska State
Patrol (NSP). They will
be on hand to answer all
your traffic safety/law
related questions. Trooper
John Sherven from NHP and
Sgt. Brokaw from NSP will
be particularly focusing
on logbook education demonstrations.
The Ol'
Blue, USA Safety
Center is a one-stop
for highway safety education.
It gives visitors the opportunity
to ask questions and voice
their concerns on safety
and legal issues concerning
commercial motor vehicles
to law enforcement officials.
The Safety Center also
features simulated roadside
vehicle inspections. Conducted
every hour with the help
of state law enforcement
officers, these inspections
help educate truck drivers
on important procedures.
In addition, visitors
to the Safety Center can
meet with Ol' Blue, USA's
sponsors, exhibitors, law
enforcement and team members.
Those who won't be able
to attend The Truck Show
- Las Vegas will still
be able to take part. They
can watch the Ol' Blue,
USA Safety Center live during
show hours on Ol' Blue,
USA's web cam at http://www.olblueusa.org/video/
This year's show will
mark the 20 th anniversary
of Ol' Blue, USA working
with the International
Trade Show Management,
the organization that put
on The Truck Show - Las
Vegas.
This is an occasion to
celebrate, says RJ Taylor,
founder of Ol' Blue, USA. Roger
Sherrard, Sue Fena and
their staff have always
been very helpful and supportive
in Ol' Blue, USA's efforts
to teach safety to commercial
drivers and fleets, and
their continuous backing
is very much appreciated.
Ol' Blue, USA is a non-profit
chartable organization dedicated
to highway safety education,
and to improving relations
between the motoring public,
law enforcement and commercial
drivers. It works toward
these goals by conducting
free programs at truck industry
events, truck stops, community
events, public schools, publications
and radio programs around
the country.
