Christmas Comes Early for Ol’ Blue, USA®
December 2000, Van Nuys, CA: Ol’ Blue, USA (United Safety Alliance,
Inc.) received early Christmas gifts this year at the Great American
Truck Show (GATS) in Dallas Texas. Charitable donations from several
trucking industry groups has helped the program, "Big Wheels,
Little Kids", continue to be successful.
'Ol' Blue' ®, a 1951 vintage working-truck, driven by RJ Taylor,
is also an 80,000 pound teacher's aide. The School Program was
incorporated into the Ol' Blue, USA agenda in 1986, however the
truck and driver, RJ Taylor, had already visited schools for 15
years. Ms. Bobbi Farrell came up with the name; "Big Wheels, Little
Kids" © in 1988. Ol' Blue, USA conducted its first cross-country
National Safety Tour in 1995, with much success.
TruckNet President, Craig Zweiner on behalf of TruckNet ® and
iFleet ®, presented a $10,000 donation to the "Big Wheels, Little
Kids" program. "We have long known and supported the value of
the Ol’ Blue, USA’s school visitation program." Zwiener said,
"Other trucking industry interests are challenged to also contribute!"

Making a $1,000 donation on behalf of Trucker Writers of North
America (TWNA) was Vice-President, Bill Hudgins of TA's Road King
magazine, "The money is to be used to assist with Ol’ Blue, USA’s
highway safety efforts with schools." TWNA, is an organization
of professionals' writers and representative within the trucking
industry who generate, gather and report news and information

Loved Ones And Drivers Support © (LOADS) an international supportive
forum for truckers families, presented Ol' Blue, USA with additional
funds to continue the success of the "Big Wheels, Little Kids"
campaign. Founder and Administrator, Kathy Harders, stated "That
we need to remember the children and their safety. This program
must continue to strive forward to give safety to every child
